Best Bank Account switch incentives?

Thanks guys.... So does the Direct Debits have to be over a certain amount? or can it literally be for like £2 a month?
I'm sure there was a trick that MSE mentioned, about doing DD's from one account to another to qualify?
(Or did I dream that?)0 -
The Marks and Spencer switch is a nightmare taking well over 5 weeks to set up and complete, the customer service is shocking always having to phone them for simple things. The website is shocking and they send very personal details via Royal Mail the envelope arrived opened therefore anyone could have the name address and DOB thats all that is required for ID theft, when pointing this out to them they say thats the policy and they will not change it. SO far this bank is failing to live up to the good service Martin Lewis says they offer when recommending them on his TV shows.:money: So far worst bank we have ever dealt with and note, this bank is run by HSBC on behalf of M&S. The premium club is useless, first lot of vouchers they sent don't work online, they have to many restrictions what they can be used for so its not worth paying a tenner a month for the vouchers. M&S closed the stores so cannot even use the vouchers in the cafe. They cannot even be used in the Simply Food stores.
Thats a honest review of the experiences we have so far opening an account and doing a switch. Not sure if/when we will get the £125 plus £5 a month for staying with them though.:(Makes the world go around eh...0 -
A good honest review, and one bank that I will be avoiding!
Thank you!0
