Best Bank Account switch incentives?

Hi there,
I have some money I'd like to open new bank accounts with on the High Street.
I see that there are many bank accounts that Martin and MSE show that include incentives like £100 or £200 for just opening the account.
Does anyone know the best ones, or is there a list of the current favourites to open? (maybe on MSE?)
I have around £5-10,000 I could use to open various accounts and gain any incentives.
The only problem is that I don't really have any monthly Direct Debits that I use, that i could have to come out of these accounts, as I know 'some' want you to set up DD's to use them?
Would I still be eligible to set up 2 or 3 new accounts and take advantage of the incentives that certain banks keep advertising? or do i not qualify?:(
I just thought i'd ask here with any leading banks that were recommended, just to make some extra cash and gain new accounts etc.
Thanks

The best cash incentive right now is probably the HSBC Advance offering of £200. You need to be able to pay in £1,750/month and have two DDs or two SOs to be eligible.
HSBC also do a £75 cash incentive for their current Bank account. It also requires either two DDs or two SOs as well as £500 per month pay in, to be eligible
Also, check out First Direct current account and M&S current account as they also have excellent incentives.

Im thinking of switching back to HSBC from First direct, hey free £200.
I last had an HSBC account over 3 years ago so am ok there but I vaguely remember a condition of a mortgage with FD (i have had one over a year) was that you had to have a current account with them, is that right?0 -
No, to earn an incentive you need to switch an account that you already have, using CASS (Current Account Switching Service) and fulfill any other requirements.I see that there are many bank accounts that Martin and MSE show that include incentives like £100 or £200 for just opening the account.Evolution, not revolution0 -
Hi All
Does anyone know what happens if you don’t pay in £1750 a month?
The way I read it is that £150 for switching with 2 DDs is a given and to get the extra £50 you have to pay in the £1750 a month as well as other criteria, so I was just wondering what the come upance of just grabbbing the £150 and not meeting the criteria for the extra £50 might be if any?0 -
