Sorry, I'm not an expert on Linux, not home use anyway. But I thought Wine was a Windows emulator for Linux.
Actually looking at it more closer it's not really an emulator as such, just a sort of compatibility layer.It's my problem, it's my problem

yes, ubuntu is easy to install and easy to use for office applications and browsing the internet, and of course Championship Manager.0

I'm a linux novice too, but when I use wine it says 'open with Wine Windows emulator.'But... Wine Is Not an Emulator... is it? Or is the acronym just a bad joke to confuse us Linux newbies?!
I've never installed with it but I run quite a few exe programmes that are installed on my windows partition using wine.0
