Its a terraced flat so I can't see up on the roof!!!! I'll say again, I don't know!!

Walk over to the other side of the street and look up at the roof?

Are you downstairs or upstairs? If upstairs do you have loft access? (The aerial might be in there if you can't see anything on the roof).

I think some posters (not aimed at the OP) on here would be happy to give their home address out so someone can go around there and sort it for them.

the op doesn't have to go calling managing agents or walking out into the street with a pair of binoculars looking at the roof all the op has to do is to put a coax connector on the end plug it into the TV and see if it works

In the absence of a co-ax plug ROFL my suggestion requires an app on a smart tv or a box. Amazon Fire TV stick has it.

TV Player is internet tv which works through broadband and provides Freeview channels for free and you can subscribe to premium channels. No aerial, cable connection or dish needed. The downer for me at least is that the Android app doesn't support Chromecast.

Probably the cheapest option is to get TV Player on your computer and then connect via HDMI to your tv but that's something of a faff.
