Garage left SORN vehicle on public road

  • Hi guys, I meant that I didn’t tell them in person because I work full time so was unable to do that. But I told them over the phone the first time, that my car is SORN’d.

But I doubt they would admit this as there isn’t any recording.

How were they going to be able to legally test-drive the vehicle (which would be a perfectly normal thing to do) if you've SORNed it?
    A very good point. :T

Your story seems to change with every post. Good luck but I'm out.

That's OK then, as long as it's not towed where all four wheels are on the ground then it's not illegal.

What if it's towed with only the front or rear wheels on the ground, such as the AA or RAC might sometimes do? (Genuine question).

I believe that's OK. It's when it's towed via a towing rope or similar that becomes an issue.
  • if you read properly in my first post I said I didn’t tell them it was SORN because I didn’t drop it off in person as I can’t as I work full time. But I have told them on the phone before getting the car dropped off.

  • I didn’t tell them that the car was SORN but I didn’t go there myself to drop the car.

Sorry my bad. This wasn’t clear.

Is that for tax and mot?

I know it differs for driving licences.
