  • Hi all, Im in this week too

Great news about Matthew, lilme, you must all be so relieved. Its amazing what they can do these days, and on babies so small.:T :T

Im going to really try hard this week cos the house has been a bit neglected while we have been ebaying and de-cluttering. Im doing some more at the weekend so it would be nice if the house was tidy.

    List for tomorrow -

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1

    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cables.
Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!!NO PLANT CAN SURVIVE IN MY HOUSE!!
    Level 3
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house! ALL DONE
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts. ALL DONE
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Dust all those trinkets! Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

If I get that lot done I will be happy!!!!

    Newbie here!

My flat is in desperate need of a major sort out so thought I'd join in if that's ok! I have a 23 month old DS and a demanding 8 week old DD so housework has to be done as and when I get a minute! I need serious bum-kicking to do something in the time I'm not being their slave!

    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Also need to:
    • Write a letter of complaint to Sainsburys.
    • As much ironing as possible (washed about 6 loads over the weekend and haven't ironed anything yet, it's all on my hall floor :o)
    • Put the washing machine on as much as possible (had a big sort out of clothes and got loads to wash before giving to charity shops/eBaying)
    • Find at least 5 things to list on eBay.
    • Sort out 2 drawers from 10-drawer chest of drawers.
    • Mop living room floor when everyone else is in bed.

Hmmmm.... lets hope the babies are good tomorrow!! I'm going to make a start now with a (quiet) bin bag dance! Might clean the TV and do the dusting too....

  • Evening flybabes!

    Thanks for the list pigpen.
I'm here in spirit though getting myself motivated to do anything other than the dailies is hard work atm. I've been dropping the littlies at school and playschool then going to work and arriving home just as they're getting into bed about 7.30. Mostly they've been awake and I've got my cuddle quota in, which the main thing :D.
Then it's downstairs to have my dinner, empty and refill the DW, prepare the following days dinner, make up the lunches, put a load of washing in the WM and transfer the stuff I put in the WM, before I went to work, to the TD. In the morning I'm trying to do a bit of swishing before I leave at 8.30 but I think it's mostly swiping. Hopefully I'll go back to being part-time very soon - I don't know how you flybabes that work full-time and have families do it - you're fabulous and I'm knackered!!!:rotfl:

Any tips for making this easier would be much appreciated!

Have a good week and I'll hopefully read even if I don't post........
    xx

  • Morning Everyone

Thank you for all your welcomes last week, I'm here with the best of intentions anyway and determined to start cleaning my house again. I'll be taking "baby steps" as you all advised! ;)

Everywhere is now tidy with the help of DS yesterday. I've printed the list and will have a good go once I've had a shower and got myself dressed. (that's a job in itself).

Mr T delivering shopping this morning and I've got some ironing to do as well.
I'm also hoping to bake my DS a cake as a thank you for helping me so much since I had my operation 2 weeks ago.

    See you all later

    Morning all

One load of washing out but I don't think it will dry, too cloudy and cold.

Haven't done much else yet, will start when DH goes to work in half an hour. I've peeled the spuds for dinner and I've just put some broth mix in to soak so I can make a stew or something tomorrow.
  • Morning ladies.....So glad it's living room today, can cope with that on a monday:D

My list of extras today are:
    • post ebay parcels
    • Get dd1 a fish tank & food for her new goldfish(won at fair last night lol)
    • List more ebay stuff
    • do weeks meal plan(a bit late I know!)
    • Do at least 30 mins ironing
