Lil_me, I'm glad you're getting settled and unpacked slowly and you've got your broadband up and running!
Michelle, that sounds like a productive weekend indeed. Good going.

I've done the ironing and the food inventory. The WM has been on a hot and empty wash after I dyed a sofa throw on Friday. The house is generally tidy too with everything where it should be. I feel like I've achieved a lot in a couple of hours and I'm ready for the week. I've still got a meal plan to do and the freezer is a bit bare of can't-be-bothered-to-cook meals so I'll work around that when I do it.

I'm going to get an early night tonight. I was sober at a house party 'til 1 last night and was in work for 8 this morning. I need to get some credit in the Bank of Sleep. I'm only working (and flying) 3 days this week as me and Blokey are flying to London on Thursday morning 'til Friday to see a band. I'll have to get planned and packed for that at some point too.

Right, have a good evening all and a useful day tomorrow. I'll catch up with the thread in the evening AFTER I've done what needs doing on the list.

Feel much better now that living room is looking better - I have to sort through the coffee table.

Have sorted out my holiday clothes - those that I can fit into... put away all of my old clothes that I've grown into (bump is getting bigger) into a box. Got lots more space now.

Tasks for tomorrow are to sort through the spare room which is full of unpacked boxes. Am going to be ruthless and get rid of lots. As soon as I get back I am ebaying the lot of it.

Absolutely shattered - I'm off to bed.

    Evening All

My you have all been busy bunnies, talking of bunnies I hope you have knitted a jumper for your hoppy Pigpen!

I have been very productive since I got home from work.

Finished moving furniture around in Littles room
Pack and parcelled stuff to be returned to M&S
Ironed EVERYTHING:j :j so basket now ready for next lot:mad:
Made jelly for DD1 pack lunch
    BM on
    Fridge emptied of "nasties"
    Kitchen S & S
DH Xmas present ordered (via quidco so £25 back:money: )

Tomorrow I hope will look like this:-

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1

    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe NO STAIRS
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!!
    Level 3
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!)
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house! DONE
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts. DONE
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two. DID LAST WEEK
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Dust all those trinkets! Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!! OK this means the glass display cabinet for me & sofas could do with some saddle soap on them.

    Also need to:-

Drop keys from the 2 viewings this pm back into work
    M & S Parcel to post office
    Pay cheque into saving account
Up driving lessons to 2 a week - how much money:eek:
    Post DH game rental back
Complete DD2 school application for next year
    Put Littles ironing away
    Make Jam tarts
Make stew/soup with left over chicken
List something on ebay (at least 3 items)

Wow, I am now tired just looking at that list! Think I shall head off to my pit in a minute as will need a good nights sleep to get that done.

    Evening all

Well I've spent all day doing DD's bedroom - and I mean all day - from 10 this morning until 7.30 when she went to bed. I can see the floor now and everything is in it's place. I've got 3 big carrier bags of stuff for the charity shop as well as numerous bags of rubbish. So a productive day but DD has been warned not to let it get in that state again on pain of death!

Shell.. the bunny isn't entirely nekkid.. he is still in a mega sulk though.. I don't think he appreciated being shaved.. I wouldn't mind but he actually looks like a rabbit now rather than a mop!!! I filled a tesco carrier with hair though!!! and he is STILL fluffy!!! He likes it least when I was trying to get the bit round his bum.. and the bit under his neck.. I'm having the vet clip his nails in the morning so I may ask her to see if she can nekkid those bit for me.. hahaha.. traumatised hoppeties!!!

Right I'm off for a shower and to the pub.. who am I having drinks for?

Juliejim.. I LOVE doing that.. watching all that stuff getting flung.. it feels really good!! I REALLY need to do something similar in my room but every time I go in there I just get in bed and go to sleep!!

  • Right i'm back. Its been a loooong time! Got kidnapped by the comps board for a while then got engrossed in house hunting so the actual house we are living in has got somewhat neglected. Living room is actually better this eve than it was this morning as OH realised his parents were coming to babysit on tues :rotfl: Can't wait to have a tidy house again
