Had hoped to be in this week but have had a disastrous start to the week yet again. Have just managed to catch up on the thread so far, filling it up this week arent we  . Glad to see you back online lil_me and fab news about little matthew. Cant remember who did the link but loved the cat proceless
. Nicki its ok to rant I've got mine to go yet. Congrats julie jim. Poohbear, have you tried trekwear.co.uk for skiwear. DS has just got a dare2be set for £90 inc coat, salopettes, fleece, hat, gloves and underclothes which I thought was VERY reasonable. Shell, cant think of anything just yet but we've got a while. Pigpen, thanks of course for the thread and the humour which make the day seem so much more bearable. To anyone else cyberhugs if you need them and well done if you're flying.
OK so what have I been up to
Sat started with very good news about the PPI repayment but got progressively worse with DD's behaviour again to the point of her emptying her bedroom of stuff and chucking it down the stairs at me. OH came home to find me on the floor in the dining room clutching a nearly empty bottle of drink (this wasnt really me - I rarely drink!!) Sunday started better and DD seemed to be realise the error of her ways and we decided to do a bit of a declutter before the Mr T's trip. Took all the glass bottles for recycling plus 3 HUGE bags of clothes for the charity recycling bank. Grrrrr they were both full. Never mind I thought I need to take car to work tomorrow instead of getting a lift as OH on days and I'll have to take DD to childminder. Oh and FILLS car up with petrol instead of the usual £10 - 15. Sunday afternoon discover OH is not at work Mon Tues after all so rant at him for letting me book childminder when he sat opposite me (and only done on Sat night) and decide to take car as didnt want to mess my usual lift about. This morning all going well OH sorting DD and I go off to work. Well you know when you suddenly become aware that the engine is making more noise than the radio - yep that was me this morning and thought oh b***er I better pull over but before I could do so it died. So there I'm sat dead car just short of a bend no verges to get out and stand on ,and OH cant come and help since he decided to change the other car for a bike which he obviously couldnt take DD to school on. Suddenly remember taht have AA cover with bank account and decide there must be a god after all (sorry dont meen to offend anyone) and tell OH he has to find the number and call them. Andy the AA turns up quite quickly and tells me its dead and likely to need new engine (Grrrr £600 spent on it a month ago for MOT and service) and tell me if I want it towed to garage we use need to upgrade cover as can only get it towed 10 miles. So phones boss and ask her to come pick me and she says Oh was that you broken down I did wonder!!! Further phone call from AA to say taking it to garage anyway as easier than trying to get it into the lane behind house so saved about £100 and got it where we want it.
Asks DD to cook the huge chicken for tea that i got on Sun and gets home to find he'd done roast beef that he'd bought today! so now have to find room in freezer for the chicken. And DD has been awful again tonight. I have spent the whole night clearing the carp from her floor again and bagging it up for OH to take away tomorrow until she can learn to look after stuff, and of course she threw a hissy fit because I wouldnt take her to see any fireworks due to her awful behaviour recently. Seriously considering getting her to see a child psychologisyany one had any dealings with them. So if that hasnt all been bad enough I finally come down from her room around 1030 to find the kitchen as OH had left it when he sat down to tea (he went to bed at 9!!) so I thought bogger it Ill have cuppa, carrot cake and come on here and he can clean it up tomorrow. Oh and tomorrow I can only eat white chicken & fish, boiled potato and cheese and then nothing wed before hospital on thursday. Yuk

- a firework fell over.. and fired itself straight at us and the children.. then shot up my mothers skirt and sparked on her foot...
- I complained to DS1 about feeling tired.. well he says.. you should have gone to sleep at a sensible time last night!!   Were we THAT!!! loud!!!!!
I replied.. well dearie.. some things HAVE to be done!!! mwahahahah
- We went to the vet.. I had a large catbox with a little cat in it.. and a TINY cardboard pet box thing with 2 big fat rabbits in.. the vets said.. how did you get them both in there.. oh I replied like this.. and squashed the rabbits in with my elbow and clipped it shut.. easy.. the vet almost wee'd laughing.. the air holes in the box had fur sticking out of all of them.
- the vet came out to see my mothers dog.. he was laid upside down being stroked.. no he was not scared at the vet!
- I broke a nail dragging DD2 out of the way of the wild escaped firework!
- Thanks to Mrs PMT I have a rather large zit right between my eyebrows.. I look rather like a unicorn!
- have to add.. my mother was complaining about being cold so I ran inside and grabbed DD5's pale pink fleece hat and stuffed it on her head.. DD1 almost died laughing.. the hat is a sheep.. complete with ears! (my mother IS Queen Victoria!!!)
- DD3 came out of school with a bumped head note.. where did she bump it?? On my knee she says.. who am I to argue?!
- the vet says I should worm the cat every 3 months as he likes to catch other critters.. I said oh I do.. the cats the children and the husband all at the same time. every 3 months.. you can never be too careful in our house!!

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 1
[strike]Vacuum floors and sofas[/strike] - well I swept as neighbour wasn't in to borrow vacuum cleaner.
Level 2
[strike]Dusting, even if around everything[/strike]
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe (1st floor flat - no stairs!) - made a very good start on this and will finish tomorrow.
[strike]Clean TV, other electricals and cables.[/strike]
[strike]Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!![/strike] - too late, I seem to have killed our only plant!
Level 3
[strike]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister[/strike]
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts. (No need for different curtains - feels like we live in an oven and don't even use heating)
Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –- [strike]Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.[/strike]
- [strike]Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself[/strike]
- Clean a window or two.
- [strike]Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!![/strike]
- [strike]Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!![/strike]
- Write a letter of complaint to Sainsburys.
- [strike]As much ironing as possible (washed about 6 loads over the weekend and haven't ironed anything yet, it's all on my hall floor
)[/strike] - unfortunately this was only 2 crib sheets, 3 tshirts and 2 pairs of jeans!
- [strike]Put the washing machine on as much as possible (had a big sort out of clothes and got loads to wash before giving to charity shops/eBaying)[/strike] - did 2 washloads of towels I found stuffed in the laundry basket.
- [strike]Find at least 5 things to list on eBay.[/strike] - While sorting the ironing I found some maternity clothes, need to iron and list them tomorrow.
- [strike]Sort out 2 drawers from 10-drawer chest of drawers.[/strike]
- Mop living room floor when everyone else is in bed. - will mop myself out of the room before I go to bed later.

Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean the windows in here!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
Extra Mission
Choose one or more of:- Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
- Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
- 30 minutes ironing.
- Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
- Hike through the freezer and make a list of what you have
Get in a manky cupboard. Give it all GOOD scrub out before placing the things you need to use soon at the front, throw out everything you don’t want/need. If no messy cupboard do a food inventory!! Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards!!!
I also need to:
Clear the stuff that gathers on and around the dining table (WHY?!?!)
Sweep and mop under the table
Sort out another 2 drawers in the living room
Finish decluttering surfaces in living room
Clean hall mirror
Vacuum hall
Sort shoes and coats
Write letter of complaint to Sainsburys
Iron and list maternity clothes on eBay
Go for a walk
Kitchen is pretty clean anyway (it's white so I am obsessive about it! It just shows any dirt so easily). I might do this now so I've got tomorrow to finish off what I didn't do today. We have a small open plan kitchen/living room, with small space for dining table so it's not too difficult!Grocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00
