  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

New Care Company came to do their assessment this morning, they start on Monday........ the assessor was here for ages.......J who has been looking after OH 3 days a week finished this morning, I gave her a pot mat and tissue carrier. Just a little gift to say thank you.

Beef stew done for supper. That will be the extent of cooking apart from the veg at supper time......apple crumble for dessert.

Dentist again this afternoon.......I need a couple of bits from Lidl so will nip in there whilst I wait for OH then pick him up. Tomorrow morning I am off early to Aldi.

It was very stormy yesterday, not so bad this morning, its bright but we still have quite a wind....at least we do not have the heavy rain. I hope all of you who live north of the border are not too badly hit.
  • Hello all,
I rang Dad last night as he had been to see the Advanced Practioner because he was getting no joy from any of the Doctors at the surgery. She seems to now be on the case as he has been diagnosed with a pneumococcal infection ( pneumonia ) and he has more medication to try. I asked him to tea today but he wasn't sure he wanted to come. Well the offer is on the table and now it's up to him. Sorry if I seem a bit harsh but it seems he's been telling people that he has no one to help him :(. Anyway enough moping from me, I know that I am doing my best under the circumstances.
This morning I have done some washing and hung it out as the weather is blustery winds and sunny intervals. There is rain forecast for later but if I can get at least half of it washed and dry, I shall be a happy bunny :j.

Mr Fix It is playing in his shed, trying to get the inside sorted. He seems a bit brighter today, I think he had a low blood sugar dip yesterday. At least that's what I'm hoping it was.
This afternoon I shall be doing more sorting and tidying away and I hope Mr Fix It will help me with the heavy stuff, especially the awing and poles.
Hope everyone stays safe today. Take care all. I shall send out the Sandman to those who are not sleeping well and copious hugs to those who need them, I think that will be nearly everyone on here at present.
Ok off to put another load out, see you tomorrow

    nan xx

What an AWFUL day it's been! The first storm of the season is a savage one.

My class this morning was good, only one student who needs 'reasonable adjustments' though they expect a lot more than 'reasonable' from all of us tutors. Could be a bumpy semester.

Then I headed down the road to Glasgow. The going was very slow because of the wind and rain, only one downed tree to get round. There was plenty of debris on the roads from trees and branches. My car was freed from the bodyshop and I happily and slowly drove home.

My day was 'made' by there being a parking space right outside the door of the Chinese takeaway :j so I hardly got wet. Then I found that my front door was jammed again, it's wooden and sometimes swells, so I was back out in the rain, through the big barn, into the farmyard and then my back garden to my back door. Soaked from walking 10 - 12 yards!

I've really enjoyed the takeaway, haven't had one for months and months. No rice or chips...

I hope that everyone is safe and warm, that storm is horrible and still at full pelt. It's meant to die down by 10pm.

Hi everyone....it's been a very wild day today...branches lying everywhere and bits blowing off roofs. Still blowing a gale, hopefully it will ease off a bit soon
