I have to admit I have no experience of this - but if it were me I would call Payplan and ask them why they are now requiring this info. As for your concern about the prospect of a creditor laying claim to your car, only a court appointed bailiff/sherrif with a warrant for possession of goods can do that. So you really don't need to worry on that score, but to put your mind at rest give Payplan a call, after all they are working on your behalf to help resolve your debt situation and should be there to support you and handle any concerns you have...............my annual review is due and when I went to complete it, I found there's a new question this year that asks me about assets and specifically asks me for the value and registration number of my vehicle. The form wouldn't let me progress without providing the car information so I typed in a random number for the value of the car I use and gave a non-valid registration number.
Can anyone please explain to me why Payplan would need my car registration number? And please also confirm that I don't actually need to give it to them? I am concerned that they may pass that information onto my debtors who might then be able, somehow, to locate my car (even though it's worthless!) and take it away without my consent?
Thanks

Thanks @Suseka97 for your response... I get what you are saying about bailiffs etc but I really still don't understand why Payplan needs to know my registration number in the first place. I'm not going to call them because last time I tried I never actuallly got through!.........Suseka97 said:

Then just leave it as you've already done and see if they get back to you - if they do, then query why they need the information and if they don't, then carry on as you weresoappie said:

Afternoon all.I am self managed and have realised one of my debtors (Very) have marked my account as special arrangement. Am I correct in thinking ideally I want this marked as defaulted ( I mean ideally we want it paid but this is the situation it is!) If so how should I go about that?Working towards a debt free life!

Same answer to you both, you stop paying them, it’s the only way, no end of complaints will get the results you want.natlie said:Hi, I’ve been in my DMP since June 2020 now MBN4 who won’t default me have started adding interest back on to my account, what can I do about this? Thanks

As stated many times before, you don’t pay until the debt has been defaulted, sold, and bought by a new owner.
That way all interest is stopped, the balance is frozen, and then all your money goes to pay down the debt.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks Sourcrates. They did/have stopped all interest etc but it’s better to have it defaulted than a special arrangement correct?Working towards a debt free life!

Arrangement to pay is what it means, now that will show for 6 years after you make your last payment to the debt, that is the difference between defaults and AP markers.debtfreegirluk said:Thanks Sourcrates.
