In completing the Nedcab form though.. I can see that I am paying for 2 adults, but my son is 21 and studying in the evenings and only works part time on minimum wage , he cant afford to give me more than £50 a month as he wants to start his own business and is saving too ( I am making sure he does not make the same mistakes I have made!) Can they argue about this? Or is it simply.. this is what I have.. deal with itLet me reiterate, DMP`s are not regulated (as yet), they are an informal arrangement between you and your creditors, as such a creditor has no say whatsoever what you budget for, or what you spend your money on.They only gain that right if your choice is a regulated agreement, such as an IVA/DRO or Bankrupcy, then your budget would come under much closer scrutiny. In a DMP, they do not have that right.

Hi all. I have not been paying my seven credit card debts since March in an attempt to get them defaulted. Despite being given Notice of Defaults for three of these debts they have never happened and have now been passed onto DCAs.
Am I right in thinking that these debts will now not get defaulted and I should now write to the DCAs with my proposed payment plan?
One of them (Westcot) is phoning the house phone every night with a recorded message asking me to contact them. I have managed to block them on my mobile.
Thanks0 -

In the meantime go on the NEDCAB website, if you haven't done so already and prepare your I&E so you have a plan on how you intend to tackle those debts.2 -
Hi I have a problem now - because of defaults I am worried I cant upgrade the data plan on my sons mobile phone! I have a default from last month and probably an other one on the way, what is the chance I will be turned down, to increase his plan for £1 more he will get double the amount of data?
Should I risk the credit check, or just leave it?
I have the defaults and the AP on my old overdraft that will hopefully be defaulted soon. I am thinking I will need to wait an other 3 months! Although all of my bills and utilities are 100% up to date always!
Risk it or leave it? I wonder?Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hi, would be grateful for any help. We've been on Token Payment Plan for 6 months and just done a review and have upped the offer of monthly payment a little. One of our creditors (a Credit Union) would not accept the token payment, I had been with them for over 10 years & had several loans and never had any problem at all until our financial difficulties which came to a head at the beginning of the year. I received Court papers (Claim Form) recently from the Credit Union and they have taken the £500 savings I had with them off the debt to leave £1200. I was shocked at their taking me to Court after being such a loyal customer and also having forfeited my savings. I am completing the form, is there anywhere I can mention the above and do you think I should?0

Credit unions don`t normally partisipate in debt mangement arrangements, they have a responcibility to their savers you see, so what they are doing is par for the course.Just make sure your offer is affordable, and remember, if the court make judgement on an amount higher than you can afford, it can be challanged and lowered, so don`t panic.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
