20MB Broadband With Virgin Media At 37 Pounds A Month

Hi All,

I was with Virgin media on a 2MB broadband line and I need to upgrade this to 20MB.

They have said that this will cost 37 pounds a month but for the first three months will put this at half price.

Has anyone been successful at securing this discount for longer then three months - It seems awfully expensive when compared to other providers but its very difficult to move from Virgin at the moment

Thats a lot, do you have TV and phone as well? if so consider switching to the VIP package for £85.00 pcm it seems a lot on paper however you will get 20mb broadband, unlimited free landline calls, cheaper calls to mobiles and international, plus you get the XL tv package with sport and movies a v+ box and an additional set top box, VOD etc.

This will probably work out a lot cheaper than if you had the separate packages, plus will be cheaper than what you are paying now.

We have all of them - 85 pounds a month is an awful lot... So I dont really want to go down that road
  • But if you are spending 1.5k per annum with them then your average monthly bill will be £125.00, so for that package surely it will save you £40.00 pcm.

Alternatively could you threaten to leave VM and see if they will give you a better deal for retaining your custom.
