Give up council apartment to share

Given that the OP has zero interest in life and zero ambition for anything at all, I'd suggest that zero suggestions about what to do about that would be most appropriate. It is fairly clear that the OP has no version of life for themselves that includes doing anything.0

I feel sad for you that you have so little ambition that you would rather give up your own home and live in someone elses, sleeping on an inflatable mattressYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

Why have you not looked into getting universal credit to help with your rent?0

1. Pay day loans, they have uses debt collection companies to try and money back but they arn't doing anything.
I have looked into what could happen as it''s a civil matter, they could maybe issue CCJ's but even these can be written off after say 5-10 years.
As for the loans being taken out, they didn't carry out enough checks fast enough and I had a gambling issue at the time which I never had before. If it ever went to court, I don't think I'd pay them back and take whatever sentence is given.
I has made some voluntary arrangements with a few of the collection companies but I'll take what come.
Not everybody wants a mortgage. I never really used loans apart from payday loans which I.always paid back until then.
I never used loans and never cared about my credit rating.
2. I didn't have a gambling issue until around the time I took the loans.
I don't gamble really at all anymore, the occasional race and lottery. I don't think I had a big problem at the time but was trying to chase bets to get the money back.
I had the payday loans, I used them, I'm over that now and will take anything that comes my way.
CCJ's, dmp's- bullahit.
The banks created loans out of thin air everyday and cause the banks to use reserves, making people pay back extortionate amount meanwhile the government has to pump billions into quantitative easing.
Banks are a big scam, a big lie and people are being robbed by banks who key in loans and take REAL hard cash off people to pay off digits on a scream thay arn't backed up. - You work 20 hours a week in a call centre, are thousands in debt and now intend to sleep on someone else's floor - I'd suggest providing any sort of financial advice is well beyond your ability
3. I still work at the same call centre.
4. I still work 20hrs
5. I attempted 30 - 50 hrs again and guess what, I being a call centre. I got burnt out and my quality went down and almost became late for work.
6. I'll stick with 20hrs at least I have a job.
7. Staying in somebody's flat would allow me to leave and go somewhere else for work.
Nothing to do with loans, I get no letters or threats.
8. Not everybody wants a mortgage, I like renting.
I don't care about my credit rating because I never really did before or will again want any loans.
9. I never want a mortgage and never will want to own a house. I like renting or staying places and being free to move around. There is better ways for people to make money than with owning property.
10. Property owners own their house, don't pay your council tax for a while and then see what happens.
The same thing that happens if you rent, you get taken to court.
If you're suggesting the council can seize property, they cant. There's a free bit of education for you0 -
Nice to know me working 60 hours a week goes to help towards you not burning yourself out by doing anything more then 20 hours.0

I wonder whether what the OP is seeking approval for is illeagally subletting the cheap council flat thus denying someone/ family that genuinely needs it, just in order to subsidise their chosen life style. They say give up rather than give back.
Or it could be Alt-right reverse psychology to generate suspicion/ hate against those in need.

I read all of your points in response to me.
I'm a compulsive gambler and I did a few years FULL TIME in a call center. Have also racked up quite a lot of payday loan debt. I note your " they didn't carry out enough checks fast enough" phrase which is comical as that is, word for word, what I'd have been inclined to say when I last went on a gambling binge! In reality, it took a few days for payday companies to have new loans reflected on your credit record and you could easily get a succession of loans and lie about your expenditure (towards the tail end of the binge you'd technically be paying off an astronomical monthly figure which would have knocked you back for the later applications, so a lie was a necessity; not that I did this per se).
Can't kid a kidder. I'm just saddened that you aren't even remotely interested in my background, as I believe it would serve you well. Advice on how to try and prevent destructive binges (or gambling issues), how to cope with a call center job on 40 hours, money/budget advice (I provided you a breakdown in your post two months ago), debt management advice.
But I'll leave it at that. Probably see you in a few months when, potentially, one of the above issues rears its ugly head.0 -
I'd suggest that with your chaotic background it's even more important that you keep the security and stability of your council flat rather than becoming homeless - which is what you'd be classed as if you're sleeping on someone's floor. And having given up a secure tenancy (to the previous poster, that is the correct terminology, not giving it back) the council would have absolutely no requirement to house you again.
Frankly, I think you'd be bonkers to give up your council flat. If you're paying £100 a week for a council flat you must be in an expensive area, so having to find private rental prices would be even harder. Your friend could kick you out at any time, or die, or have to move for any number of reasons. Then you won't just be homeless, you'll be street homeless.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
