    What about in the airport on arrival or travelling to the hotel.?

    If an infected person had infected a an object or a surface and you touched it you could have picked up the virus there.

    Yes, as you said you were just unlucky, you mentioned that you made a claim on your travel ins so it might be best to just move on. It will be stressful to try to claim as you can't prove anything. Just bad luck, glad you're ok now
