Viagogo won't cancel my purchase

Expensive one to suck up, but I agree with the above.
Also you’re best knowing the law before quoting it to them - they’re correct, tickets are excluded from the regs0 -
The credit card that I used declined the transaction, as the amount was abdominally large, so at the moment I don't believe that money has been taken, although the amount is pending on my credit card.
I tried to buy eight tickets for £406 and I went through the process to buy. At no point did i deviate off, but after I clicked continue purchase the amount was £3255. I am completely unsure how this changed?
I'd also find that amount hard to stomach! If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Hi all,
I recently made an error in a purchase from Viagogo, and only noticed when I saw the amount after transaction.
I immediately tried to get in touch with them and cancel my order. I told them about my rights according to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 that I have the right to cancel my order, yet they state that that cannot cancel my order.
The credit card that I used declined the transaction, as the amount was abdominally large, so at the moment I don't believe that money has been taken, although the amount is pending on my credit card.
Viagogo stated that they comply to the laws and regulations of the countries they operate in, so surely they have to comply to my request to cancel my purchase? But they said they don't offer cancelations.
I am at a loss as what to do next. Your advice and help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
No idea if this is even a solution, but would cancelling the credit card stop the transaction completely? If so, that's got to be worth it for a £2800 mistake.0 -
Even if it did I would have thought Viagogo would still go after their contractually owed money.0

just a side thought - is there a contract in place? Often the T&C say no contract in place until payment taken etc. If the transaction was declined, then payment won't be taken. Sorry if the answer is obvious, I've not used Viagogo myself.Peter
Debt free - finally finished paying off £20k + Interest.0 -
From a brief look at their terms6.8 All Sales are Final. All sales and bids are final. No refunds, cancellations or exchanges will be issued for date or time changes, partial performances, or lost tickets.0

OP
would £50 a ticket be very cheap therefore obvious that it isnt the correct price.
I fear you may be stuck with this expensive mistake0 -
Can the OP confirm whether they have actually been allocated the tickets? Do you have an email informing you of a successful purchase, or similar? If the initial card approval was declined, they may well have released the tickets.0
-
What have you actually ended up with?
8 tickets @ £406 each?
64 tickets @ c.£50 each?
8 tickets that should have been c.£50 each but have actually been charged at £406 each?0
