That doesn't look like the lath & plaster that I've recently removed in my house. My walls had a much smoother finish.
I believe they stopped using lath & plaster around the 1930's -40's so if the house was built after that, it probably won't have it.0 -
That plaster is not in amazing condition in my view so you're going to need to line the wall with lining paper and wallpaper over that I would say.
I had walls in a bedroom which were in a similar state - pitted but solid and used a nice anaglypta over lining paper and then painted the anaglypta a lovely colour. I didn't want the grief and hassle of replacing the plaster work and the end result was a good one (for a bedroom).
On an extension we had done I had the freshly plastered wall lined with lining paper and then painted that because the finish was perfectly smooth.0
