BSP auto / Gotrental cars

Has anyone used the above car hire company ?
I booked online with them last June . At the airport I was taken to an office called Blue Rent where they advised me to pay extra for insurance to cover breakdown and assistance from the police. I thought they said this was 119 euros but it was actually 190. Although I had agreed and signed for this I changed my mind but they refused then to accept this , said I couldn't change my mind under Greek law and refused to rent me the car so I had to rent an alternative from the airport at considerable extra cost.
Back home I got the initial rental fee refunded but BSP refused to compensate me for the extra cost of the other rental.
I have asked my insurance company but it's not covered. I have written to BSP auto to complain but based on my dealings with them doubt they will get back to me.
Is there anywhere else I can complain to ?

You stated that you agreed it, but changed your mind.
Did you have a valid credit card in order to for them to ring-fence the deposit needed in case of possible damage? Perhaps around 1200 euros.
If you did not give them the opportunity to do this, they are within their rights to refuse you a car.
You obtained a refund, so that would be the end of the matter.0 -
Yes I did give them my credit card details for the deposit in case of damage . I was happy to do this , the extra insurance also would have reduced the maximum excess but I had a policy to cover this already.0
