Thank you for again pointing out the threads - if you have read the replies you will see that there have been numerous condemnations for this - I am only using this thread - as suggested by another forum person and allowing the others to DIE - so don't really need to be told this again! Like a few other people who are new to this site - I have heeded the critical advice. I have tried to remove the other threads in order to stop criticism.0
-
Once again the barbed criticism! I asked the question because the appeal process AS STATED ON THE INVOICE said attach evidence - as far as I'm aware that wasn't covered on the NEWBIES - WAAMO Please don't reply to my questions - you make a stressful situation worse, and I hate the thought of you sitting at your keyboard welling up with anger - life's too short !:(0

This thread is not the best one for you to use though. The heading needs editing and the first post tells everyone nothing at all about your PCN, so we cannot advise you.
Think about what we see, when we click on this thread. We see nothing at all.
At least edit your thread title to make sense for your case, (advanced edit) and put the story of the PCN in the first post, then we might be able to hep each time you post.
I don't even know from this thread what 'appeal' you are talking about. If the thread title is not changed, I for one, won't be clicking on it again as we cannot help blind.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm not criticising, I'm trying to avoid everyones time being taken up by repeating what is in the Newbies thread. I stand by my comment that it would help both you and us if you read it and digested what it says.
I appreciate you may have many questions regarding this matter and we are happy to answer them as long as you appear to have done at least a little research for yourself.0 -
ppealed to UKPC and now had letter asking for copy of disabled badge and drivers name and address from appeals dept UKPC within 14 days. As stated before, I have medical evidence of owners disability, no badge as she does not want to apply for one. Should I now submit this?0
-
Ignore that letter and wait patiently for your PoPLA code.0
-
Thank you for your reply Keith - I will do as you suggest.
I'm sure you have seen these letters before - one paragraph states "failure to provide this information will give us no alternative other than to make our final decision based on previous information received"
Is there a reason I shouldn't send a copy of the medical evidence at this stage Keith?0 -
They want to trick you into revealing who the driver was. Silence is golden.0

Personally I wouldn't bother because neither UKPC nor POPLA will accept medical evidence & you're in danger of implying who was driving.
I would wait for the POPLA code/rejection, which is what you want.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Regarding the medical evidence side of things, I can see where you're coming from I think. It can take a while to understand the whacky world of parking companies. Their requests for information and so on look reasonable enough. But they are not reasonable, they try to play people and catch them out. That is why this forum is packed to the rafters with people fighting invoices. Many simply cannot afford them, but even those who can react against the sheer injustice and nastiness of it all.
If you look at past threads it's obvious that the regulars here in particular have helped 100s of people through this maze, I've never seen a forum like it! So my advice is just do what they say and also read & re-read the Newbies' thread to understand where they're coming from.
In addition to preparing for POPLA - a bit daunting at first but very doable once you get your head around it - why not contact the retailer again taking a different tack .... more assertive perhaps? You can mention the Equality Act 2010 in that complaint and outline how the disability of an occupant of the car was relevant. Don't identify the driver even in that complaint though, best to be careful!0
