missed service on leased car
Hi
I will appreciate for your advise in advance.
I leased a new car, 18 months ago, for 2 years
only drives 7K.
on dash showing 200+ days due to services but now I noticed in booklet says different
which says 10000 or 1 year.
It means I should service the car 6 month ago which mileage wasn't even 5K on that time.
Anyone has similar situation? I can't find anything in lease's contract about what is the penalty for missing service.
what I am going to face? penalty and how much I should expect?
Thanks.

Make/model of car?
It may not be on a fixed service schedule in which case the car's OBC will be correct and the service is still not due. Contact the dealership and ask.0 -
Actually I did and they said check the service book.0

what car is it - Audis, VW's and others can be either set to fixed annual services or variable based on mileage and type of driving, so you may yet be ok0

Thanks

I would be concerned that a diesel vehicle has only done 7k miles in 18months - you really should opted for a petrol vehicle for that mileage0

Usually the warranty is tied to the servicing schedule. A quick google around returns that there’s a fine for missing a service on a lease car, though what this is is entirely down to the lease company.
You’ll have agreed to have the car serviced according to the manual when you signed off on the lease.0 -

According to Hyundai UK the service schedule for a Tucson purchased after Mar 2013 and before Sept 2017 should be annually or every 10k depending whichever comes first, alternating between an interim and full service (figures based on their official Service Plan schedule).0

"depending whichever comes first" didn't know this part TBH. though because is less than 10K still have time. otherwise service is not that expensive and I would do it on time.0 -
