Transferring to new EE sim only deal with unlocked phone - ? will phone number change
Hello
If my wife (currently coming to the end of an EE contract on her Samsung S7) buys an unlocked S9, then takes out a new EE sim only deal with EE (via EE shop), will she be able to transfer number over ?
Or will she have to do the tortuous Pac code / PAYG route to keep her old number ?
Thanks

Is the deal for new customers only?
No, we're looking at straightforward switching from EE upgrade page at the moment - and it does say number can be moved straight over to sim only deal (not very good ones to be honest - £14/month for 1GB data, unlimited txts + mins). So I guess my initial query is answered !
Another one though - I have a Sharer Phone sim (under my wife's EE account). Would I be able to move my number over to a new sim only deal (either with another network, or the tortuous route for an EE sim only) ?0 -
Instead of going to the EE shop, look for the cheapest SIM-only deal with another network for 1GB data. Then call EE 30 days before the contact's minimum term ends and ask for the PAC. You will be transferred to the department for this who will ask what you plan to move to, and after checking that it's real will offer you the EE SIM-only 1GB contract discounted to the some price as the alternative you found, probably £5-6.
Sorry I don't know about the Sharer Phone, perhaps ask EE.Evolution, not revolution0
