I've heard it said almost like a thank you, an appreciation.
"Let me do that task for you"
"Bless you, but its fine I'm managing!
"You look lovely today"
"Bless you but I haven't even washed my hair"
Etc etc.
Unless its obviously intended to be patronising I wouldn't worry about it.0 -

Not sayings but people who walk slowly in a crowded place...
I'm very patient when someone is walking very slowly in a crowded place when it's clear they can't walk fast.Red-Squirrel wrote: »Some people can only walk slowly, try to be a bit more patient!
But not when they're on their mobile phone.

1: I’m not talking abou people with issues walking
2: No. I’m sick of this nonsense. I don’t care. Everyone has their issues and if I accommodate each one I’ll never get anything done. If you can’t walk quickly; why not the the considerate one and move out of the way? Why is their issue, now my issue?!0 -

onlyroz - used when talking about small children, yes.
Also used when talking to/about old people, particularly when they do something, or try to do something, that is seen as a 'young person' thing, such as using a mobile, or worrying about what to wear to a party.
The other irritating one is 'good for you'.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

My wife and family all do this.
I stopped it with my wife by answering 'thank you your holiness/reverend' and making the sign of the cross.0 -
It's become popular. Whatsisface on Celeb BB said it at everything, so I suppose it's only a matter of time before the masses join in.
Bit like 'So...' at the start of a sentence when it's not needed or relevant. I can't begin to tell you how much that annoys me. See it all the time on these forums and it sends me crazy. (Sorry if any of you have posted it above lol. Not trying to offend/dig lol.)2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0
