Tap water quality

Dunno if this is the correct forum?
I wonder about our tap water.
The shower over the bath takes water from our house input pipe.
It then goes through an instant water heater.
There is a shower curtain and over a period of 6 months to a year the shower curtain gets a pink deposit on it from water coming out of the shower.
The shower nozzle holes also become blocked with a pink deposit.
The water from the bath taps which we no longer use pass through a water boiler and over a year plus, due to a very small drip, deposit some pink residue on the side of the bath.
As far as I know all the pipes are copper

According to Google, it's an airborne bacteria that likes damp conditions rather than the water. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

copper salts are often blue-ish, but there is a light brown one called copper chloride but is only this colour when it is dry and when it is wet goes blue/green. Doubt you copper pipe is being dissolved away.
Personally would be inclined after a shower to spray the curtain with vinegar, and a small receptacle for the shower head with vinegar would do no harm either. See what transpires as the above post seems reasonable.0 -
Thanks for both answers.
I mentioned the copper pipes because I wanted to discount anybody raising the issue and I know pink is not a colour copper produces.
We have to clean the shower head every 6 months ish because the pinkish deposit blocks the shower head holes.
The shower curtain is put in the washing machine to clean it.
What do I google to read about the airborne bacteria. Although that doesn't seem right to me I'd like to read about it.It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
