Families are funny things....DH got shouted at by his sister because MiL had a car accident on Monday and he didn't ring MiL to see how she was....now the funny thing about that is that no one told us she'd had one but SiL's DiL put a post on her FB about it that we were supposed to have seen...but we're not friends with said DiL so didn't see the post.
SiL and DH are now not on speaking terms....MiL is totally fine although her car is written off.
I swear July is going to be as bad as June at this rate!!!!0 -
How annoying that people think that putting a message on FB constitutes telling everyone, I always phone people especially as it was something as important as an accident. Glad that MiL is ok though.
Hope you can have an easy month to get you back on schedule, you've had a lot to pay out for in June.

That's what astounds us, DH was so upset that his sister had a go at him for it....I said to him that if we don't know there's nothing we can do. SiL was being so melodramatic, saying that MiL could've died the accident was soooo bad. Dh spoke to his mum and the accident wasn't as bad as SiL made out, regardless of the fact that the car was a write off.
On the upside, said MiL is coming to visit for a week during the summer, which will be lovely as she is great to be around.
I'm hoping that this month we will scrape through unscathed but I can't see it....I may need to move money about to cover us but we will see. I do have some money coming in on Friday so that will help a bit and money for the bills are covered.0 -
Why didn't SiL phone then? Blimey families eh!
Hope you enjoy the time with MiL when she visits.
