Moving to new build - no broadband for a month!

Options
Hi guys, me and my fianc!e are moving into a new build on Friday this week. Stupidly thought it would be a straightforward thing to set up the broadband.

Unfortunately, whilst all the fibre box is in our house, Openreach say they won’t be able to get everything up and running until 10th October.

Can’t go a month without broadband!

So I’ve done some research and have the following options

1) BT have provided me with three free logins for WIFi hotspots
2) Mobile WiFi box - looked at EE but is going to cost around 80 for the month with 50gb limit
3) mobile router - again EE but £100 for router and then for a higher data usage than WiFi box will cost over £150 for the month.

I have Sky coming to install Sky Q on Saturday and have seen conflicting reports about if u need WiFi even to have it installed!!!

Essentially the devices I want to use for none 4G internet are
1) sky
2) Xbox - for gaming and Netflix etc
3) Sonos - one of the extras we went for is a multi room Sonos system with the house so to not be able Rose it would be horrible!

Advice welcomed :)

Believe it or not you won't die meanwhile, if you don't want to pay those prices perhaps one of your immediate neighbours would like to share their WiFi for a bit of remuneration (presuming other people have already set-up and the WiFi reaches).

How does the cost of mobile Internet compare with the cost of a couple of counselling sessions?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

OP......unless you need wifi for work whats the problem, believe it or not 20 years ago we only had TV with normal channels didn't have a mobile and the my kids games console worked without the need for wifi
That's the trouble with young people today they expect everything straight away.....the world wont end.

When I moved in I didn't have internet for 6 weeks.

I only had an iphone4 with 500mb data package.

I'm sure I would cope fine now with the bigger screen and bigger data.

Use the time to sort the house out.

    All together now: 'Broadband? Luxury!!
OP, you'll be far too busy sorting out the snagging, utilities etc in a new build to worry about playing on your x-box.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
