Sleepy I don't know why you don't think folks have 80+ tabs open at a time.

The way I do the C2Ws is I open say Win Something and I work through the 20/23 pages choosing the comps I would like to enter by sending to a new tab once they are all at the top I enter them by the time I get to the end the videos are mostly finished and I count the number I have entered as I close them down.

I am not at all techy but I thought this was the way most folks entered comps :o

I have 106 tabs open at the top of my page right now

Because the C2W's are really video / ad heavy, if you look at the load on a standard C2W page, I had one open there for about 30 seconds and it had sent 675 requests, that's requesting files 675 times, and it keeps going up the longer you leave it open 'cause it's constantly requesting ad data ... so if you have 80 C2W pages open you're probably looking at 80,000 file requests at least, 220MB download X 80 (although it will be more than that the longer you leave the page open).

Anyway, it's irrelevant, I still don't see how you can win a C2W every 2 days consistently.

Why did my post get removed??

I am guessing it may have been considered "naming" winners - I cannot remember the exact original posts about not doing it but almost nothing was allowed apart from linking to the sites/posts where the winners were listed (I played safe and did not put any details in)

I try and enter for prizes that are only on a few sites there are some example below

then I enter these every day. Spending no more than half an hour. I have won a few times this year. Nothing big, but a baby changing mat, tickets to a steam fair and a couple of books.

But what if your not loading the videos? Wouldn't that make things faster?

I've just started doing C2Ws, entering using Chrome with a Mobile User extension to avoid videos, and my Macbook can cope with around 60 tabs open at once, from those tabs I can enter around 10 per minute, thats 600 per hour, and I'm only on 50 Mb.

What extension do you use please? I have chrome mobile user agent and while it works well for the mag dailies it doesn't seem to stop a lot of the CTW vids.
Having said that the ads loading are too much for my old puter anyway and I can only load up about 5 at a time. I do the odd couple now and again when I'm watching telly or something but that's it these days.

I remember the good old days when most of them used to have that many entry routes or less, although generally with much bigger prizes - about the only thing going for them now is they are quick and easy to enter and there is always the chance of winning from just one entry.

I do that sometimes, though I've never won anything. But I've noticed that I sometimes find what looks a comp on only one or two sites, as that is what is listed on the official rules, then find it listed again on some more sites. Don't know if that means there's one prize for some sites and another (same) prize on other sites or what.

I don't do them much anymore, although I have just done some today. I'm using a laptop that is over 9 years old and I have slow (2Mbps) internet, but it copes ok with about 30-40 C2W tabs open at once on Firefox. Anymore than that though and it struggles. I am streaming TV/film at the same time though, so that probably doesn't help! :D

I did win a prize once, but I entered every day on all sites (and it was on a lot of sites). Actually I did win another prize by accident - I clicked on a child's toy when I wasn't paying enough attention and got a winning email for it the next day. I felt guilty winning it with only one entry (and having no-one to give the prize to), so I didn't actually claim it in the hope it would go to someone who wanted it and had put a bit more effort in. That was years ago and I've not won since! :rotfl:

I'm using Mobile User Agent. What I find is that it stops the vids on the sites that use logins, but not the others.

So the Simply Media comps, for example mumsnet and skint dad, they work without watching the videos, so I fly through those.

With the Bauer sites, the videos do play unfortunately, but i just set them to run and move onto the next tab - you don't have to have the tab open while they are playing. For these comps, I find around 30 tabs is the max I can have open.

I'm using a 2017 MBP though, so if your using an older PC, you may need to reduce the number of tabs you have open.
