    Morning everyone,

Dry but cloudy here today, the WM is chugging away anyway, ever the optimist :D
I don’t have many plans for today, have a couple of hours work to complete this morning and then will get over to see Lu later this afternoon. In between are the usual chores and jobs around the house, my mindset is definitely moving away from summer now so have a mind to batch cook some soup for the freezer.

Thinking of the TA’s and all those struggling with illness and worries.

Have a good day folks x

    Morning all,

Glad you enjoyed your family get together HH.
Ruby-its strange,I've noticed that I seem to have big gaps if I use the return key, sometimes I end up editing because my post seems to take up a lot of room

Had an awful nights sleep,I had indigestion all night and kept waking up,not something I usually get, felt sick in the car too ,coming home from visiting my DB yesterday afternoon. Was up early anyway as DH and DS wanted to go early, the main road near the park is being shut for 2 weeks for badly needed resurfacing. It's our link to the ring road so it could be chaotic.I think there will be lots of cars turning round in the road at the top and coming back down past us.Took Ly1a out early before the big machines start.

Dumpling- good luck with the Home Ed and your 'new term'
Hope everyone has a good day xx

  • Good morning lovely people

((((BIG HUGS)))) for all who need them - sorry to hear about your aunt, BoP :(.

Best of luck with the home schooling, dumpling - doing nutrition/diet/healthy lifestyle as a 'lesson' sounds like a brilliant idea. Combining cookery/shopping/maths/PE will be very productive. Have you seen the 'Change for Life' website?

Recycling has been collected this morning - love it when that's all gone. Feels like a 'cleansing' has taken place.

Nothing particular planned for today - may decide to strip the bed and get it sorted. I've had some horribly restless nights this past week, so it probably needs a really good 'sort out'! OH is still 'banned from the bed' since my knee replacement - his feet ain't coming anywhere my knee for a while longer ;)! He's in the double bed in the spare room, while I've got the 'king size' :rotfl:.

Just remembered that I need to visit Church this morning to see somebody - I'm responsible for keeping DRB checks up-to-date and need to up-date somebody ................... head like sieve sometimes :(!

Will be eating out of the freezer tonight - found some turkey steaks down the bottom yesterday. I actually KNEW they were there, but hadn't been able to find them - the 'joy' of having a chest freezer when things 'escape' into the frozen wastes ;)! Will have them with some Sweet Chilli Sauce, Salad and Coleslaw. Also found some bacon slices - don't often buy bacon, so no idea how long those have been down there :o - possible 'bacon butties' for lunch :T.

This evening will be spent 'soap watching' :j :j !

    Have a lovely MoneySavingDay, everybody
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) hugs if you need one 'TA's'

A dull morning a bit of a breeze, so hope the laundry dries.

CA has been OH is showered and dressed. We are going to Melton at lunchtime so OH can go to the Evergreens at Age UK. I will nip off and do a bit of shopping in the town.

Early lunch needed so bacon sarnies around 11 am.

Meters read and submitted to the suppliers, we are in credit just now, but guess it will change in a couple of months. I may well have to up the gas when the central heating goes on.

Egg, chips and beans for supper tonight.

I am getting the bus to York later to meet a dd for a quick light lunch before I go to U3A in the afternoon to see an early days of cinema film. This month it is Rudolph Valentino in "The Sheik"
I am going to try to get an appointment sometime for a professional foot treatment but might have to wait a week as they always seem very busy and booked up.

Tomorrow is an early start and two buses to help dd with baby so will have a quiet evening and early night

    Dumpling

Good luck with the home ed and hope you have a good day to start off with.

Thoughts to the TAs and positive vibes.

    Hugs to all
  • Morning all,

I've returned from London late last night with TGFW. It was a lovely weekend, filled with lots of nice little restaurants and bars. The city is expensive, I knew that before going, and I've over spent slightly more than I would have liked. It's fine. I'll manage. Just need to watch the pennies for the rest of the month.

I'm lucky enough to be going to Spain on Saturday for a week. Taken and paid for my parents. So I'll need next to no spending money (thankfully) but I would like to buy them dinner at the very least. I'll do my sums when the bank catches up with the transactions from the weekend.

The phone interview on Friday went well. Really well, actually. I got the impression I was saying the right things and he even said it was quite spooky how similair I worked to the way they did. He suggested a 2nd Skype interview with the owner tomorrow. I'll await to see.

Playing football tonight and I also need to go to the SM for some bits and bobs too.

AoD - Glad you enjoyed your weekend too :) I too share you pain on crossing stations in London with luggage. We were sprinting through a station at one point!
    Dumpling - I'm sure you'll be a good teacher.

So much for having to wait a week, I just phoned and have been put on a waiting list as there are no appointments till October. Looks as if I will be carrying on contorting myself to reach my toenails for a while.

    Hugs to all

Yes, I was wondering the same. I've had a look at the threads from the weekend and no one has had bad news about their aunt, thankfully.
