Ryan (from Liverpool) they call him has done this numerous times and has had many posts removedWhat is this idiot on about? She/he/it has spammed this post!!
In answer to your question if Going to Main Menu and then Set up then Recording Preferences you can prevent missing bits of recording use the recording guard feature e.g. add 5 mins to start and end to try and get late starts and not miss end of recording. You can get it to automatically give you details of programmes by choosing the Customise DDT from Menu and then changing Synopsis Popup Delay
Update firmware (currently ver 2.88) by having PVR set to Channel 5 roughly 5.30pm or 11.30 am for update0 -

b) you can watch a play back whilst recording two channels Yes
c) the firmware updates are straightforward They are downloaded automatically if your box is switched on sat the relevant times
d) easy to use and follow instructions (techno thicky!!) OK, as long as you actually do read the instructions . Updated features won't appear in your boxed instructions, though, so best to keep an eye on forums like Digital Spy.
e) most importantly as a basic recorder with a basic set-up (28" widescreen CRT) it works and displays OK Yes, but picture quality does depend on your signal strength

Can anyone tell me what happens if you stop subscribing to TUTV.
It is rumoured you loose access to a big chunk of the hard drive as TUTV records 90 hours for use with the card. AND What happens if you NEVER subscribe, do you then get the full 160gigs?? or are you still locked out of the TUTV partition??

I was calling you an idiot maybe I didn't make this clear. Why were you obviously spamming this post about someone else who was spamming elsewhere? To add insult to injury you then conesecutively post this topic on rather than putting your comments in one post. You seem to use the forum like MSN messenger and whilst I accept you have in the past provided some contribution the quality is far outweighed by the quantity of your posts. By all means keep posting but consider the fact that people have to go through the numerous posts you make. To spam al the forums about a spammer is ludicrous. Happy posting
DC in relation to TUTV once you stop subscribing anything taped from TUTV becomes unavailable to watch but once you deselect TUTV channels you get the space back on your HDA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

I believe you can disable the TUTV channels which frees up most of the hard drive. If you get the 1-months free sub, you need to remove the card at the end of the month - it's probably best not to activate it at all!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
Is it just me!!!
Went to to get one from Tesco yesterday only to find it had just been removed from shelves, put off as the box presented looked like a return, so backed off.
Then found it at Argos at same price, so ordered for pickup, with items to take the bill up to £100 ( cos the £5 for £50 and £10 for £100 vouchers are back today). Which effectively would give 10% off, i.e. about £72
Only to be told that the price has reverted to £99.99 from today, Bar stewards!ac's lovechild0 -
With Quidco and the Telegraph £20 discount code (full details on HUKD) this can be had from www.johnlewis.com for £75 delivered to your door. (Or even LESS if you read the thread linked to!). And they double the warranty to 2 years.
