Parking ticket fine - Tesco - PPS

I went to Tescos express and parked my car as i walked into the shop, a lady informed me that someone was taking puctures of my car. As i ran out i realised i was parked on a disabled spot as i realised this i quickly moved the car to the side road. This all occured under a minute.
Few days later much to my dismay i recieve a fine from Private Parking Solutions.
I understand i shouldnt have parked in a disabled spot but i was in such a quick rush i didnt realise, also by the time i was told someone was taking pictures of my car and i moved it was literally a minute.
There are countless threads on this forum stating i am not obliged to pay a fine towards Private company's. Would this still be applicable in this instance...

"There are countless threads on this forum stating i am not obliged to pay a fine towards Private company's."
correct , no one is obliged to pay a "FINE" to a private company
did you spot the thread marked " **NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!"
you may find some help in it if you read it , before reading other posts0 -

Tesco favours parking companies more than they do customers.
They have the most disgusting customer service and frankly
unless you want to be ripped off by their parking buddies.
AVOID TESCO ... there are better stores who respect customers
and probably will be cheaper.
Normally we suggest you write to the CEO with proof of
purchase but of late the CEO and his staff have become
very arrogant and ignorant ....... Tesco don't want your
business so spend your money elsewhere
Problem you have, is parking in a disabled bay.
No doubt you have been subject of the Tesco wheeze
whereby they give cameras to their staff.
And they expect people to spend money with them ????
........ Tesco's are becoming a huge joke and prefer
parking scammers to money spending customers
You will find that many people avoid them.....
more fool Tesco's
You can appeal in the normal way but you are dealing
with Tesco's approved scammers0 -

hi guys,
just to give an update. i have been ignoring the letters from the debt collector - however i received a letter from Credit Investigation Services (CIS) that as a result of ignoring the previous correspondence they have given two options. First one is that a doorstep collection will arrive or secondly a litigation process will be set up.
Can anyone please advice the next possible steps for me?0 -
Ignore them both. You only owe them money if a judge says so. Read this

Will that be delivered by Hermes or UPS? Some of those doorsteps are pretty heavy. Be careful when lifting them!First one is that a doorstep collection will arrive
They cannot 'send the boys round'. If they do, simply call the police.
Just ignore their letters (but file them should you need to refer to them at any time during this saga).
EDIT TO ADD:
CIS are based in Glasgow - are you also based in Scotland? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

All this talk about steps.First one is that a doorstep collection will arrive...

Your next step is to hide your doorstep - to thwart any attempt by the doorstep collector to take it away.
Apart from that, follow Umkomaas' advice - ignore debt collectors letters.1 -
Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra work.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Hi guys
just to give an update i have now received a notice of issue summons.(i am unable to upload a picture of the letter).
The letter states that they are instructing their client to instigate immediate legal proceedings against me. which can take the following actions
1) Apply for a court order against your wages
2) attach certain of your goods and property and have them sold in execution.
3) Seek an order against you to attach monies that maybe due to you
4) Obtain a court order for your examination
5) Issue a statutory notice to have you declared bankrupt
This seems to be quite worrying. i am unsure what steps to take?0 -
Please read section 2 of the Newbies' thread carefully.
I do not think you have received a Letter Before Claim. However the more experienced regulars will advise I'm sure.
The possible actions PPS list are both vague and threatening. 'Obtain a court order for your examination'? Sounds ominous! 'Examination' .... 'execution' .... 'attach certain of your goods'??? It's almost funny. Except it's not.
They are putting the frighteners on you in the most obnoxious way. It's the written equivalent of turning up at your door on a dark night wearing balaclavas. This is why this forum is needed - the PPCs are basically out of control and talk utter rubbish. Don't fall for it, just get up to speed and fight back.
As above - are you in Scotland?0
