Sheepy, if you have been billed at "2Kw/day" quote, and we
assume, you are on the worst possible "Standard Variable Tariff"
and also enjoy a daily standing charge of 22p /day,
then, at 24p per Kw, = 48p, plus standing charge = 70p/day.
This times 30 (a typical month) = £21
times 9 (NINE MONTHS) ...... = £189 i.e. less than £200
I manage to run a property on 2Kw a day, mainy because it is supplemented by my 4Kw solar input, but even so, if you were
not actually residing at the property, your bill should not be anywhere near FIFTEEN HUNDRED POUNDS !!!

something is dreadfully amiss here.......
It is a fair bet that the problem is down to the meter readings that SP use will support a bill of £1,500.
The OP states:Yes meter readings submitted
All Scottish Power meter readings are nothing lime what I submitted.
It is possible that opening meter readings were not given and the OP is being billed for the previous owner's consumption.
Until the OP posts details of the bills, and what he disputes about those bills, nobody knows the reason for the £1,500 charge.0 -

You need to await the ombudsman's final decision
The ombudsman should have made it clear to you that the earlier proposed resolution was provisional; provisional on the supplier accepting it which they would have had 14 days to do so (or challenge it which they obviously have done).
Unfortunately I admit they don't always make this clear initially.
The supplier should defer collection activities, at least over the disputed portion, whilst they are aware the ombudman is still investigating your complaint. Advise the ombudsman if they won't.
I am sure a supplier such as Scottish Power will NOT continue to pursue you over any disputed portion of the debt, especially if you ask them not to, whilst the ombudsman is continuing to investigate that dispute, and the supplier is aware of that ongoing ombudsman investigation..0 -
