Home Car Tyre Inflators
I HATE going to the garage to check my tyres! Rushing as other people are waiting, think I'm doing it wrong, panic etc etc. so I put off checking my tyre pressure.
Should I buy an air compressor and check them at home? Do they work, are they accurate?
Which one is best?
Thank you.

I have an older version of this:
Ring RAC635 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OP0WZGI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ct5KBbZBTM11Y
Found it to be decent quality and reasonably accurate.0 -
Another vote for the Ring. The only downside is packing it away after each use.0

Defo have a home one, and keep it in your boot. I travel a fair distance for work, so check my tyres every couple of weeks. As above, the only pain is packing it away again - the cable will never fit back from where it came from!0

Might be worth keeping an eye out at Aldi as they did one that looks pretty much the same for 15.00 ish0

If it is for a normal car then those recommended are fine but if for a caravan or other vehicle that needs high pressure then go to a garage.
Our Smart car trailer needs 6bar in the tyres and I have not found a home inflator that will do that more than a couple of times.0 -
Keep an eye out for Lidl or Aldi when have their cyclical motoring accessories. A double barrel footpump is about £5.99 or £6.99 and there are no leads to break and it will probably still work if you drop it.The man without a signature.0

88 quid for the two.
Not "cheap" and may be more of a compressor than you want or need.
Whatever you do I'd still get a tyre pressure gauge and use that to check and set the pressure in the tyres.0 -
I have a bicycle track pump for my bicycles that I also use to inflate my car's tyres.0
