If you went to get your haircut in Spain you'd be grateful for the barber being able to speak English, wouldn't you?
I would not choose to have my haircut with someone who could not speak to me in my language regardless ................just as I would not use a dentist among many.
Why would I if I have the option not too?
I said I don't mind what they do to others and among themselves but I know what I expect.0 -

Correction, among. We all make mistakes a bit like..........
What is your language!
Hardly the best diction or grammar.
Anyway, as I said. I would not choose a place where my language was not spoken. I don't know what that's called but to be honest. I couldn't care less.0 -
As this topic does involve use of language, I'm not going to let this one pass. It gets my goat.
Segway is a machine you stand on and look ridiculous.
Segue is the word you meant. Yes it does seem a bit forin.
Isn't that one of the great things about the English language, how words come into use despite being wrong. Selfie/ self portrait. nuff said.Originally Posted by shortcrust

Yeah, I guess Amara's salon could even provide free Polish lessons. It can't take long to figure out how to say, "Have you been on your holidays yet?" or "What clubs do you go to in the town?" :rotfl:0 -

That's fair enough. I just suppose I care what I look like at the end.0
