Vodafone - written off account - when will this go from my credit report?

Hi,

I have been in contact with Vodafone for the last couple of years trying to locate a defaulted account which was last updated in November 2013. After finally speaking to an agent who was remotely helpful, they managed to locate the account and confirm the debt.

It transpires that the debt was written off by the company some time ago and they were no longer chasing me for the payment of the arrears. This is still on my credit file. Yes, this is not an ideal circumstance but I was young, dumb and stupid in taking out excessing amounts of credit that I could not afford.

I was wondering if anyone knows how long it will take for this to be removed from my credit file? Is it 6 years? Is that from the date of the account being updated or from the date of last payment or otherwise?
