Hi all

I am looking to purchase dual sim phone when visit Hong Kong in Dec.

I want the phone have these features:

1. Dual SIM - gsm + gsm. I use O2 on sim 1 and three network on 2nd SIM slot.

2. good battery life.

3. 3.5mm jack

4. CPU not running too hot

Budget is £250 or under.

Currently looking at Poco F1 & A2 lite, but one thing they miss is NFC.
Honestly I am leaning to A2 lite purely due to android one. But it spec is not really huge improvement from my existing.

I currently using G4 plus, which suffer from ghost screen and sometime it is too hot.

Any other suggestion?
Any idea what other cheap phone coming out in next 2 month?

Xaiomi range of phones , they are known as the Chinese apple .

Just check that the spec includes B20 on the FTE list to ensure it covers all networks

Our family has two MI A1's, been with us for nearly a year. Very happy with them. Also have a Redmi 5 Plus for car use/navigation.

    Completely agree with Browntoa's synopsis.

And, also had a G4 which exhibited the ghost touch problem when it got warm. No problem when it was cool, but charging on a hot day it was dreadful.

If it's in Dec, then Xaiomi will have 20 new models out by them (well, almost).

Just go to the Xaiomi store and see what they have, just don't buy too many like I almost do ever time I'm there!
  • I've just bought the Xaiomi Mi A2 Lite for £150 in the UK via Gearbest (it shipped from HK) and it has all of your requirements (the non-Lite version doesn't have a 3.5mm jack BTW). It's dual sim and you can still use a micro SD memory card with both sims inserted.

Just be certain that you get the "Global Version" for the B20 800Mhz frequency band. On my box it's clearly displayed.

I'll direct you to the other thread rather than repeat it all and get confused over who I'm replying to :) :

To use a 3UK SIM in the second (non-data) slot you need to make sure that it is not 2G-only capability, which dual SIM handsets sold in the UK usually are. It should not be a problem when purchasing in Hong Kong, especially with a 'global version', but worth making sure.
