Chip savings app

Morning all,
My 3% interest rate is coming to an end so I'm going to close my Chip account (doubt anyone will use my referral code when you can still find automatic 3% codes online!). Does anyone know of a similar automatic saving app/account?
Thanks
How do you know when it's coming to an end?0 -
Because you make a note of when you open it, and record it in your spreadsheetDennisTenus wrote: »How do you know when it's coming to an end?I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

Very helpful0 -
I can't find a way of checking on the app. I just remembered when I opened the account - you can scroll back to the top and check the date of the first message (but obviously this doesn't take into account if people have used your referral code at a later date).0

If you click on savings it will bring up the total amount that you have saved and normally shows when you next interest payment is due. When mine matured it stated here that it matures on ? date.0

At what point do we enter the referral code?
I've downloaded and installed app. After Opening app I go through these steps:
1st step: enter mobile number, verify phone by entered code sent to mobile
2nd step: enter name, email address, home address.
3rd step: connect bank account by entering debit card details. (I'm at this step).
4th step: No idea. I'm still in step 3.
Do I enter the debit card details then there is chance to enter referral code in Step 4??
p.s: found the answer (just before posting this). going by the discussion here, step 4 asks for referral code.0 -
I’ve decided to close my CHIP account. I have not had an auto save in many weeks, and despite contacting them to be told variously, it will probably make a save soon, and I see an auto save at my end so you should see it in 24 hours, nothing has saved. A savings app that doesn’t save is as much use as a chocolate teapot.
Now looking for a replacement App. Any recommendations?0 -
Recommend Plum savings. Check referrals board to sign-up using a referral:Tangerine_Daisy wrote: »I’ve decided to close my CHIP account. If you want algorithmically-driven saving decisions AND interest on your savings, I'm not sure if there is an alternative.
Plum (already mentioned by OceanSound) would be the obvious alternative if you just want algorithmically-driven saving but not interested in earning interest on the saved money. Plum does however provide an integrated investing platform so you could grow the saved money that way.0 -
Maybe stating the obvious, but What sorta balance do you have on the linked account. Have you tried changing the linked account to a different current account? (Probably a longshot- may not make much difference- worth a try though)Tangerine_Daisy wrote: »I’ve decided to close my CHIP account. I recently had a £12 autosave. My linked account is a tsb current account with £1500.
If anyone's interested note that chip has a limit of 6 manual saves per month (I think it's per month - i receive the message 'your allowance will reset on %s, with 6 new saves to use any time of the month'). Maximum transfer amount per manual save is £100.0
