Co-op Packaged account - Travel Insurance

Hi folks, Apologies in advance if I've put this in the wrong forum, I'm a forums Newbie looking for a bit of advice.
Have had a Co-op Smilemore account for almost 20 years now. I know it's not been the best on the market but I always liked the ethical aspect of the bank and it had the packaged elements I felt were compatible with my lifestyle, including worldwide travel insurance.
About 8 years ago, had a wee health scare and ever since I've had to log it as a pre-existing condition with no charge associated with the condition. This year, the Co-Op's moved its insurance supplier to Rock Insurance and now they want to apply an additional charge to my policy for the pre-existing condition I've had and declared since 2010. So my current accounts the same, monthly charges are the same, in fact nothings changed as far as I'm concerned, it's just the Co-ops decided for whatever business decision they've deemed fit. So my question is, putting the ethical aspect to one side, do you think I should be liable for the additional charge having declared it for 8 years and paid account monthly dues in good faith for almost 20 years ?
I can't help but think I'm being extorted of additional monies in this case ?
I'd Appreciate any wisdom on offer

Shop around, and if you can get a better deal then ditch the co-op..they don't care about you, so why care about them.
