Parking charge notice

Hi,
My son, using my wife's car went to his rented accommodation in Norwich to collect all his belongings, he was parked outside a majestic store on the pavement which has parking spaces? We then receive a parking charge notice which we ignored as its not enforceable. After the final notice, which we also ignored we received a letter from ccs collect, debt collectors for £115, so we are after some advice in what to do? None the letters were recorded delivery and ccs letter had a 2nd class stamp. Any help/advice will be appreciated? Many thanks in advance.

Which parking company? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

WRONG.
But now you will have to, and hope they are not a litigious firm, who sue people. After the final notice, which we also ignored we received a letter from ccs collect, debt collectors for £115,

Morning, thanks for your replies? the letter from the debt collectors was on behalf of the parking company called Flash Park. As for where i got my info to ignore the letters? my wife works at our local council and asked the person who deals with parking enforcement. He said "as these are parking charge notice they are not really legally binding and not enforceable unlike a council or police issued parking ticket?" My wife has contacted the debt collectors, CCS Collect, and said we had not received any letters from Flash Park and they have advised us to contact them? We have sent a letter, recorded delivery and as yet waiting for a reply. Will read the newbie posts? Thanks again.0

Flashpark is actually a trading name of Vehicle Control Solutions. Not to be confused with the very similar named Vehicle Control Services.
It's a nosey neighbour type outfit in that they don't employ wardens rather a local busybody with too much time in their hands jumps out from behind their twitching curtain and slaps a ticket on.
Odds of court are extremely low http://www.parkingappeals.info/companydata/Vehicle_Control_Solutions.html0 -
the letter my wife sent to Flash Park says my son was driving so probably dug a deeper hole for ourselves?? Doh0

Debt collectors YOU IGNORE COMPLETELY as they have
no power

Your friend at the council is WRONG. this forum is full
of parking companies taking people to court.
Whilst they are all ROGUE TRADERS, ir's what they do
You should resend your letter by normal 1st class post and
get a postal receipt. The law says it is deemed to be
delivered within 2-3 days
They can refuse to sign a recorded delivery letter and
you cannot prove they received it
As said above, this is probably a self ticket operation so
you have a NORRIS (Coronation Street nosey bod)
you need to route out.
As the nosey neighbour is only working for commission,
they are passing on data which they are not entitled
to do0 -

I shall report further as this progresses, many thanks to all for your help and will pass info to others about this forum? Thanks0 -

Hi, have not named him or where he lives and as of today, Thursday 13th have not heard anything. One silly question as the ticket was not stuck to the windscreen and it was sent to us by post, how did they get hold of our address?0
