Limiting broadband access times per family member

We are currently with Sky for broadband & I'm keen to know whether you can have any type of device/app that allows you to limit the times broadband is available by family member? Teenage son is doing a few late nights which need to be brought under control now we are back to Sept!
Happy to move to another provider if required. Have looked on Sky website & can see their broadband shield which is more about content control rather than times.
Thanks

Depending on your router you may have a setting called Router Access Restrictions or Parental Controls.0

The low-tech solution is to switch off the router or wi-fi at bedtime. You can get parental control software which works on a specific device, but in this case you'd probably need to block it at the router level, assuming he has a computer and a phone. If you have a Sky Sagem SR102 'black box' router, I don't think you can set such restrictions on it, so you'd have to buy a router which offers these facilities.
He can still of course use his phone on mobile data as an alternative...No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I would login to the router and check. On my plusnet router i could set what devices could use the internet at certain times.
Sorry to sound a little dim here, how do I log into the router?
I know he can still use mobile data, but with his allowance it certainly won't go too far into the month. I'm hoping that a simple laying down of the rules will bring him back in line.
My easy fall back is just switching it off on my way to bed, but I'm a certainly no night owl, so that would be a little unfair! Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -

Just had a look through the router webpage and can't see either of those. Headers are Wireless/Security/Maintenance/Advanced/Support

Sky Broadband Shield (in your Sky account) can apply age ratings at specified times of day, but this would limit him to PG or age 13 sites during the daytime, which is not necessarily what you want?
Otherwise you need you upgrade the router: something like a Netgear D7000 will have the controls you want. Sky do not support 3rd party routers, so it's a bit of a faff to set up on ADSL (less so on FTTC) as you need the username and password. But it can be done.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
