keeps calling me to tell me that I have been in a motor vehicle accident within the last 2 years that was not my fault.

Trouble is that I have not and when I can get a word in sideways through their scripted patter to ask which accident and when exactly it happened, they hang up on me.

I have managed to ask a number of times to get my number removed from their computer dialer (yes there is silence at the start of the call) but they point blank refuse to do so

Change your mindset from annoyed to fun. If you have unlimited minutes on your mobile plan then call them. On the toilet - call them and make something up. Be creative. Waiting for a bus - call them. On the bus - call them. Waiting for your kids to finish football - call them. When the same exasperated operator answers your call for the 10th time that day, they WILL do something. Call them for a chat - What's your take on CBB?

  • I play along sometimes

I say, yes I have been in an accident, how lucky that they should call

Then proceed to tell them how I was attacked by a velociraptor or similar. As English is usually not their 1st language it takes them a while.

Sometimes I tell them I was in an accident that was fatal-when they ask who was killed I say me etc etc
