Need divorce date and court for probate?

Options
My parent just passed away. No will, and I am applying for probate as "administrator" of the estate.

The forms seem to ask for the date and court.

I do not have these. Though I do know roughly the year, I don't know the court used. Can I save £65, as I don't need an actual copy at this stage, or would I be forced to order a full search and copy?

Do you know which solicitor was used?
  • No. Sadly, no paperwork. I may be able to figure out the year. I'm guessing both parties may have shredded the memories after the fact. I am assuming it is a legal divorce, because as far as I know, no claims or disputes were made against property at the time.

PS, I am going to email the UK Central Family Court, to see if they can process a search. I will see if they charge the full price just for the info. As I don't need it posted, I was hoping to save on cost.
