Daily Telegraph still trying to renew my subscription after 2 previous stops

Daily Telegraph are trying to renew my subscription on 14/09/2018.
Brief history:
- Roughly one year ago, I telephoned DT to say that I did not want to renew.
- Despite my phone call, the sub was renewed.
- Barclaycard put a Stop on any renewals, and refunded my fee.
- DT recently emailed my to say that my sub would be renewed.
- I replied to say that I did not want to renew.
At this instant, I'm assuming that DT will continue to renew anyway, so (a) I want to be ahead of the game by posting this ready for battle, and (b) I have some questions that might be of interest to other forum users.
I will now insert the entire text of my email to DT, and the email from Barclaycard with details of the Stop order.
Hi,
Regarding your DT renewal notice, I did not request a renewal. Please Stop this renewal.
I'm attaching an email from Barclaycard dated 24/10/2017. This email notified me that Barclaycard obtained a refund of £60, and "added a Stop notification to stop".
The reason for the £60 refund was because you ignored my earlier Stop order by telephone. As an aside, the telephone operative tried to talk me out of cancelling by suggesting that I should try this option, and that option. The call took about 20 minutes - and then he failed to cancel. The whole experience was unnerving and unpleasant.
So, if you renew on September 14/09/2018, then you will have ignored three Stop orders:
- My personal Stop order just over one year ago.
- The Stop order by Barclaycard soon after.
- The Stop order in this email.
Question 1: Why do you ignore stop orders?
Question 2: How do I stop the 14/09/2018 renewal? I tried to stop online, but the site does not have an obvious way to cancel.
Question 3: In my online DT account, I can see that my card Start Date is 01/18, which is correct. How did you obtain my current card Start Date if my subscription was stopped by Barclaycard on 24/10/2017, and my card was later renewed on 01/01/2018?
In your recent renewal email, you offered me a 20% reduction to renew. To compensate me for all this hassle, please contribute the £20 to the Journalists' Charity, and send me proof:
http://www.journalistscharity.org.uk/
Thanks.
Best regards,
So, I would be grateful for any comments. I'm really puzzled as to how any online account can have my card details updated with no action on my part. I've had no contact with DT since last year until their recent email. I have absolutely no reason to look at my online account.
I looked in my Amazon account just now, as an example. I see 2 cards. One card is shown as "expired", the second card is current. I think that's the "normal" way to change card details. In other words the card can't be "edited", it can only be superceded.
AFAIK, I can't actually change ANYTHING in my DT account,
At top of account, it says:
Current subscription Standard
Payment frequency: Annually
The "Subscription End Date" is "14/09/2018", which of course is incorrect, because the sub has been stopped. So nothing has been cancelled there.
I see no way to stop this renewal online. I see a button "Upgrade Subscription". I don't want to press that to find out if it includes a "cancellation" option.
My current card details are correct, as mentioned above. The details can't be edited, but I can add a card, as in Amazon. My expired previous card is not shown.
I've now told you all the info that I can see in my account.
Thanks.

Did you return the vouchers?0 -
>> ...you may cancel your subscription...at any time during the first 14 days
My sub lasted from 2014 till 2017, then I tried to cancel. "The first 14 days" is therefore long past :-)
>> unredeemed or unexpired vouchers
I don't think this applies to me. There were never any vouchers in my case.
Thanks.0 -

Are you sure ? How did you receive the paper before you cancelled ?
If you provided the Telegraph with the name and address of your local Newsagent to deliver to you, then the vouchers would have been sent directly to the newsagent.... alternatively you get sent the vouchers yourself to exchange on a day by day basis.....0 -
My OP refers to an online sub, not a hard-copy sub.
I apologize to the generous volunteers who have contributed so far.
My excuse is that I actually forgot until this instant that hard-copy DTs still exist. I haven't seen hard copies on the tube after The Times offered copies for 10p. (I think the DT might have been 50p at that time.)0
