CEL are well known for pulling out at the last minute, after causing a great deal of stress, worry and anxiety to their victims.
Yo should, if you haven't already get in touch with the KFC branch/franchise..
To the KFC manager/franchisee, on date name made two visits to your location branch, where ANPR equipment supposedly monitored by CEL is installed in order to limit the parking time on site.
However due to a lack of care and attention by your agents, CEL in accurately monitoring, and maintaining the equipment , they have proceeded to access the registered keepers personal details form the DVLA and then continued to process that data in regard to collecting a parking charge notice.
Your agents, CEL have now issued court papers, and are intending to pursue this through the court system
You should be aware that you are jointly and severally liable for the actions of your agents, ( in this case CEL) and the implications of the recent GDPR regulations.
This means that as the Registered keeper of the vehicles data has been unlawfully accessed and processed then any liability for a data breach woulds land upon the franchisee/ site manager who in turn would be personally liable for any damages due.
As it is I would much prefer a reasonable solution to this including ( but not limited to)
The immediate cease of any legal action from your agents, CEL
and the immediate removal/disabling of any/all ANPR equipment installed on your sites.
i look forward to your responseFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I've just drafted a letter for response based on a few from the forum. I didn't think about writing to KFC.
Thanks!0 -
