I wouldn’t bother. I would put them away somewhere as one day they will be worth a considerable amount.

I do still have most of my old phones, but I'm doubtful if any of them are worth much now, and it could be a long wait before they are 'worth a considerable amount'. I think my best bet is my Sony 'Mars bar' phone from the early 1990s, in it's box with charger, manual, etc., but I'm not holding my breath.

I regularly sell my phones on eBay before I buy a new one, so that it doesn't come too expensive. Been doing this with my last 3 Oneplus phones, even if the fees are quite expensive you still get good money.

I used to sell them at CEX but they've gotten really temperamental about them lately and will literally give you pennies for them for even a minor problem with it. Recently tried to sell a Sony Xperia to them, which had never been out of a case and there was a slight scratch on the top corner from the case. They called it a crack and said it'll cause water damage :o Of course that's only one branch, others might be better.

I traded my last phone in at the Carphone Warehouse when I upgraded my phone in November by them. They gave me great value for my old phone and let me keep it whilst my new one was on pre-order

Where's a good place to recycle low value mobiles? We've never had iphones etc, just bought a reasonable handset to put a sim in, but none of the recycling sites are interested in even taking them for free. I'm sure the components are just as valuable as in more trendy makes but recycling value seems to be based on resale value. Any ideas where/how to recycle?

As they are not worth much consider sending them to the Turing Trust who refurbish old phones and laptops and send them out to poor African schools.
