CPM parking Charge notice dilemma

1. Read the NEWBIE sticky where you will find the advice you need.
2. Ignore is not an option and hasn't been since 2012
3. Failed to pay for duration of stay means you paid for two hours and stayed for three
4. After (1) use the template appeal you will find in BLUE and send that to the PPC
This advice still stands.0 -

Is there any guidance on this site what to do in this situation or do I use the same template as initially sent to CPM?
Thanks!
When I received my Scamvoice (Feb 18) I read a lot on here about what and when to do it and also the IAS.
Against the good advice I got on here I got involved in letter ping pong with the PPC (Excel) and did not appeal to the IAS.
On one of the letters I received they told me my appeal had been unsuccessful I wrote back and told them I NEVER APPEALED!!!!! they wrote back saying further to your letter we confirmed your appeal was unsuccessful AGAIN!!!! blah blah blah blah (I,m boring myself now!)
Point is I learned quickly they DONT CARE!!! they are not interested in mitigation, exceptional circumstances, genuine mistakes, accidents, emergencies or ANY genuine reason a person might try and represent to them.
Learn as much as you can about the game your in and take as much satisfaction out of playing the game as I do now.0 -
How does it actually matter? I already said this weeks ago:mellybee100 wrote: »So, I've received a letter from CPM informing me that they are unable to process my appeal as it was submitted outside of the required 21-day period, but that the IAS provides an alternative Dispute Resolution scheme and that they will engage with this should the appeal be lodged within 21 days of the rejection letter.

You know about IPC firms, and the lack of any appeals system that if fair to consumer, because it's said clearly in the NEWBIES thread, and discussed on every IPC and UKCPM thread. Read some!
How can there be any concern about when to send an 'appeal' that won't *work* anyway, that is merely intended to send a message to the scumbags?
So what really, come back at court stage like everyone else, and win.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Unfortunately I'm back!
I've been reading a lot of the threads, but could still do with some help.
I've just received a claim form from Northampton regarding the PCN I initially started the thread about. Issue date is 18 Jul 2019.
I need to put a defence together, but I've not found any threads similar to mine to draw from, does anyone have a link to a similar case for 'parking in breach of the terms of parking stipulated on the signage'.
The claim also stipulates that 'the driver of the vehicle agreed to pay the PCN within 28 days of issue yet failed to do so', which is not true, I never agreed to anything.
I have also been unable to find clarity on this credit score question....
What affect will a CCJ have on your credit score?
Any links to successful claims of a similar nature would also be appreciated.
Thanks0 -
Have you any idea how many claims are issued by parking scammers? A huge number, they are clogging up the courts.
Also, you are asking questions which are answered in the stickies/FAQS, previous threads, and on google. Please do the research yourself.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
With a Claim Issue Date of 18th July, you have until Tuesday 6th August to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.mellybee100 wrote: »I've just received a claim form from Northampton... Issue date is 18 Jul 2019.
Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 20th August 2019 to file your Defence.
That's a month away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
0 - Sign it and date it.

You won't be left with a CCJ even if you lost then paid what the Judge said.I have also been unable to find clarity on this credit score question....
What affect will a CCJ have on your credit score?
Why not search the forum for UKCPM claim and read all the others in play? Learn from them and the NEWBIES thread post #2 which tells you what to do, and how and when.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
