JANUARY ROUND UP (1)
it is going to be a short round up for the next few months until i get uni out of the way.
debt busting is ticking along nicely, not many overpayments this month but i always feel january is a difficult month after the expense of christmas and new year. managed to pay off 1.84% of our debt. i am happy if i can aim for that amount each month just now with a look to increasing after easter time.
12 week plan also ticking along nicely but still lots to be accomplished on there as well as my decluttering challenge. just now i have just about enough time for housework without adding the challenge of decluttering to it, although i am hoping to do a little bit this weekend.
off for a wee read of some diariesDEBT
31/12/2018 = £21,740.10 - 31/12/2019 = £18,581.29 (14.53% PD)
31/01/2020 - £18,685.22 (14.05% PD)0 -
Well it has been a good few weeks since i have managed to get on here as uni was extremely hectic. i've almost made it through this semester though and just a few essays to finish over the next few weeks.
debt busting is still on the go, had a wee blip in feb where balance went up ( i actually have no idea why but things were so chaotic i wasn't keeping track properly on what was happening) but back on the straight and narrow now and end of march balance was lower so all good.
12 week plan came and went with only a couple of things accomplished. it is time for a new 12 week plan though which i will post up shortlyDEBT

Hi CB - lovely to read an update from you
Some good goals on your list, all of which I can relate to in some way or another apart from the 672 items to declutter - the number intrigues me :rotfl:
Hope the throat doesn't turn into a full blown infection
Have a lovely Easter break with the family. xx 0 -

APRIL ROUNDUP
well it has been a while however now that uni is finished for the year bar results at the end of the month i feel less stress being on here than when i had essays to complete.
financial round up, debt went down this month but not as much as i would have liked but it is heading in the right direction so that is the main thing. i have managed to shave a few months of my debt free date by paying an extra 50 pound a month towards them. that figure may jump around over the next few months as my income drops from next month drastically due to student finance finishing for this year .
last month we kept on track and stayed in the black but i had started my spending diary again and whilst some things were in it that i hadn't accounted for they were needed. however, spends on takeaways was absolutely ridiculous at around 150 pound. spoke with DH about it and he reminded me that it wasn't continuously eating out but the fact that because of the family size a takeaway can be between 30 and 40 pound depending on what we have. I know this has to stop for this month not cold turkey this month so have budgeted for 60 pound for this. budget for this month should balance even though it is an expensive month due to celebrations, events, birthdays.
Moving on with my 12 week plan slowly but now i have a lot more free time i can get going properly
1. lose 1 stone (work in progress, have lost 4lbs)
2. clear front garden (work in progress, have cut down large overgrown bush, need to dig out rest)
3. clear lowest debt account (this is my 1 debt/100 days challenge)
4. decorate bathroom (starting this tomorrow as it has to be miserable weather here)
5. [STRIKE]finish 2 essays[/STRIKE] :j:j
6. clear sons room
7. clear daughters room
8. declutter 672 items (working towards this slowly)
9. [STRIKE]clear dining table[/STRIKE] :j
10. [STRIKE]sort 1 child's clothes[/STRIKE] :j
11. clear uni cupboard (have did two shelves, takes forever to go through paperwork to see what is needed or what can be recycled so i do a shelf at a time)
12. clear out my clothesDEBT
31/12/2018 = £21,740.10 - 31/12/2019 = £18,581.29 (14.53% PD)
