Have a look as the specification for the meter - it's a SMETS requirement that smart meters shall retain 13months worth of billling data

    FEATURES
    Accurate Billing
    • Approved to MID Class B, BS EN 50470-1 and -3
    • Support for active energy class B, reactive energy Class 2 and apparent energy
    • Comprehensive tariff structure with 48 TOU rates and a 4x8 block tariff matrix
    • Extensive power quality data
Billing data storage: 13 months + current; 5 Weeks + current; or 31 days
    • Load profile data storage: 12 months.

My ELSTER smart meter has similar specifications
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

That is good news that they can go back 13 months to recover readings .. Many of my customers have blank screens for years. Hard to believe how slapdash suppliers are but its true.
Maybe a meter fitter pops round a couple of months after reporting a blank screen .If no reply then it go s on the back burner for 3 months etc etc and drags on for years and years if the occupier sees an advantage to meters which do not work then some will take advantage of it.
