Thanks everyone.
You are ban on! Parking fine.
It was a company car, and even though I had updated my details with the lease company, they provided my old address to the parking company.
It seems I pulled into a car park at 17:58 and it was free parking from 18:00.
I've had to pay the fine to make sure the CCJ gets cleared as I don't want this on my record. I've put through an appeal, but I'm guessing now I have paid it will do no good at all. The woman on the phone even told me this as I was paying the fine.0 -
You can still appeal - post on the Parking Tickets forum on here to get advise on what to do next0

It'll now show as a satisfied ccj, for the remainder of the 6 years

If you need better than that, they guys on the parking board have loads of experience with these debts0 -

I thought this was only if it took me over a month to pay the CCJ?0 -
Sorry I missed that you were within one month. You're right.

Northampton business center is the place to contact, although they tend not to answer the phone very often, but you can try, if that fails, we recommend you email them instead, they usually respond with the creditors details etc.
I never said contact trust online, or have I misread what was said. There is also a cost with going the Trust route.0 -
Usually once paid, its an acceptance of liability. I suppose the argument would be whether its chargeable from when you park or when you enter. For instance what happens if you drove on, saw the charge and drove out, would they deem you are liable for a charge for the time you are on.Tribal_Tiger wrote: »It seems I pulled into a car park at 17:58 and it was free parking from 18:00.

Sometimes it's just worth taking it on the chin, especially since its not worth risk of having the CCJ there for 6 years.0
