Seriously, people should learn to delete pointless emails as soon as read instead of collecting thousands, its like stacking newspapers in your hallway extreme hoarding.
Except stacks of newspapers take up physical space and can be a hazard.
Thousands of emails take up a small amount of computer memory, can be easily moved around or archived and if one particular email is needed, it can normally be found by doing a quick word search.
I've lost count of the number of times work colleagues have deleted "pointless emails" only to decide at a later date that some of them weren't so pointless.
