Our new Barclays current account sort code has no physical branch address, but wife's payroll seem to be able to use it ok.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

What I understand of how my employers payroll works is that, when the sort code is entered it searches for a manually branch, if it cannot locate the branch it simply states the bank does not exist.
I work for a government organisation and it's a complete shambles :rotfl:
Hopefully they can override the sort code, which will resolve this situation.0
