How come you reply with something irrelevant all the time?
Even if you could change your tariff, you would still be classed as a business customer, and not have the rights of a residential customer. Not being cut off, due to disability/vulnerability is one the the rights you do not have.
With respect, you have been like this since your first post.
Hope you get yourself sorted, but doubt you will get further help on here.0 -

The reason why the Police sent them packing the other time they got a warrant. A warrant obtained by my failure to defend it in court because BG didn't notify me on theat occasion. The remaining 36 times they were unsuccessful.
Letting people know the tactics BG employees use to avoid amicable resolution and instead try to force people to pay their inaccurate bills (including ones for entirely different properties in different towns sold 8.5 years ago) is very relevant. The fact that the laws are so loose that they can cirumvent the normal civil debt proceedings in such an unethical manner is relevant to this problem and should be a concern for anyone using BG.0 -

It is logical to conclude that BG took the decision NOT to initiate a civil claim because they are not so confident of success.
Therefore none of this is a well intended honest mistake and there is no desire for an amicable, fair resolution to the issue.
People need to be aware of this and bear it in mind when considering which company to deal with. It seems to me the terrible reputation of British Gas is well earned.0 -

You have actually been dealing with BGB ( British Gas Business ) who are completely separate entity from BG
. I had to deal with them sometimes searching out business addressed and they were always a bit snappy and big headed on the phone and occasionally they just slammed the phone down on me. Something like that would nt happen with BG call centres who are always polite and helpful
We do not have too many BGB complaints on here so I m sorry we can t offer more help. They appear to have you tied up like a kipper. BGB are much tougher to deal with then BG and can treat their customers how they like it because of these restrictive contracts.. Maybe you could edit your thread to "beware of BGB "0 -
Have you explored transferring the business contract to a domestic contract. There is nothing BG can do to stop that if now you are residential status. Need proof from your council tax rating to get the ball rolling. Once in residential status there are more relaxed rules on who can be disconnected.

Cheers for your reply. My understanding is they are a separate section of the same business. Either way I fear you're right they've got me by the short and curlies and no matter how unethical, unreasonable and unfair they are I will probably lose this battle.
This is the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.0 -
Transfer ownership of home from limited company to self.
Shut down limited company.
Start new limited company, and don't let your home anywhere near it.0
