Well I've signed up. Had no problem with ID.

For interest sake I'll report back to let how it goes in a months time
  • OK, I have given this a go too. Happy with the risk level on £100.

ID confirmation was almost instant (though it says it will take up to an hour); I did not have to send anything to them. Note it also says this is done manually (if so they are very quick but perhaps it is sometimes referred for manual checks) during office hours so if you want to sign up for this today do not wait until this evening.

It requires you to send the initial investment from the bank account you enter during sign up, so don't get caught out if it is one where you need a card reader or similar and don't have that to hand.

T&Cs say that account must be "open and funded" before 23.59 tonight. I hope that means having made the transfer is sufficient. I have clicked the button on the site to confirm I have made the transfer, and have had an e-mail confirming that I have done this, but it says it will be "matched and invested within 3 working days" so is having sent it today enough to qualify? Fingers crossed.

I decided to go against my instincts on this and signed up, as someone else posted above the auto postcode address fill does'nt work.

So I funded this on the 31st, and according to my Wahed web interface this is still awaiting funds. Now as faster payments are
supposed to arrive by end of next working day, this is a concern.

    Have yours been credited?

Went for this too, despite a few reservations. Situation same as yours at present.

Edited to add: GIA says it has £0 but if I click on Transactions it does confirm a cash deposit of £100 on 31st August.

Stop Press! Just had email saying it's invested... but on logging back in the info is just the same!

Yes, was due to expire on 31st August, and offer link now takes you to their homepage.

I had an e-mail at 8.30 this morning saying it had been credited: "Congratulations, your money is invested!"

My GIA on front page now shows £100 balance and transaction list shows this deposit as 31/8/18 with status "complete".

I did send them a message on Friday asking two questions, and had answers on Saturday morning:

    1. Will it be 2 x £25 per promo page or 2 x £50 per T&Cs? They say 2 x £25 = £50 total bonus. Not sure if anyone will want to pull them up on it by citing the T&Cs, but definitely don't therefore expect 2 x £50 to arrive without an argument.

    2. I opened the account on 31/8 and the deposit (which I sent immediately) was only showing as pending not invested yet, so was just having sent it on 31/8 enough to meet the offer conditions which say accounts must be funded by the deadline? They did not commit to this, but said "we will confirm shortly if you qualify" (I suppose fair enough as at that point they only had my word I'd sent the money). Given the posting date on my transactions list is today showing as 31/8 I am more hopeful of this now.

As this is a new start up company in the UK (but established in the US), I decided to go for it myself but not other family members.

Opened and deposited £100 on Friday, transaction cleared on Tuesday morning and now it's a waiting game. The £100 deposit is dated as 31/8/18, it's still held as cash in my Wahed account but will likely change as a GIA investment by Friday.

I contacted them and they said that I am eligible for the bonus. I note the Eid bonus is no longer available to customers. I will diarise 30 days from when the £100 is invested and hope that £25 is paid within that time frame.

    No concerns as of yet.

For those who invested £100, do any of you still have a % of cash available in your investment? I've got £2 sitting as cash in my GIA.

I emailed them a few days ago and they confirmed that I was eligible for the bonus.

Just checked - yes I have £2.50 sitting as cash.
